Overwhelm. It’s a powerful word with a lot of meaning behind it.
It’s defined as “bury or drown beneath a huge mass. Defeat completely. Give too much of a thing to (someone); inundate.”
So it would make sense that you see yourself drowning under a huge mass of farm projects and things to do which makes you feel overwhelmed.
Right?

Then it would also make sense that you feel completely defeated by your circumstances and the huge to-do list that haunts you.
And I can see why you feel this way, but to me, overwhelm is a feeling, it’s not something that happens “to” me.
There’s a huge difference in feeling paralyzed by your circumstances and feeling like you have full control over your thoughts.
And, on the Profitable Mindset Podcast, I explain the difference and how you can eliminate overwhelm once and for all.
After you listen to the full podcast episode you’ll feel a sense of freedom that only a few are able to experience.
You’ll feel ready and able to challenge your to-do list head on versus feeling trapped and stuck by your circumstances.
It’s a refreshing way to see the world and I know we could all use a little help in that department these days.

I had recently put the question out to the universe, “WHY am I not more productive with my time?” I am SO appreciative that this video came along to answer that question!
In 2019, I’m leaving behind a financially successful career of 30+ years. It’s frightening!
It’s exciting!
I have many possibilities of what our farm’s products will be but none have been worked as a business so far.
I will be implementing the food, clothing and who gets your time methodologies for sure!
Thank you!
Jetta – I’m so happy I could be the answer from the universe!! I truly believe that – happens to me all the time! Things show up just when I need them.
Congrats on leaving your career! I totally get it’s frightening + exciting.
Keep in touch with all your progress. Thanks so much for being here!!

Love your videos and challenges!
My uniform is jeans from the thrift store and chambray long-sleeve shirts from WalMart,. I probably wear out 5 sets per year.
My resolution is to pre-plan meals, having the same 5 basic suppers on the same 5 workdays each week, with leftovers on weekends.
I tore apart a free calendar, glued it onto cardboard from a freezer box, blocked out family time, and planned for the whole year with different enterprises in different colors, inspired by an earlier video. Now that is freeing!
I struggled valiantly last Jan/Feb with making a website using your series and wow! the results are amazing! Now people can find us easily.
Keep up the good work! You are looking younger all the time!
Hi, Penny – love this so much!! Thanks for sharing how the videos inspire you!
I’m glad my yearly planning vid helped, too – sounds like you’re all set!
Thanks for the compliment. I drink LOTS of raw milk – it’s the fountain of youth, hahah!!

Hiya: Curious what you have for breakfast every day. I am looking for a simple breakfast with less wheat products.
thanks for the video – great information.
Ahh, given that we’re a raw milk dairy and I’m a HUGE fermented fan, I just have about 1.5 cups of raw milk kefir every morning & that’s it til noon.
But if I work out extra or am extra hungry, I’ll have an egg with super runny yolk, again, for best nutritional benefit.
We’re not wheat people either – pretty much avoid it completely now.
My husband is an egg & meat for breakfast person. Plus kefir. That’s just too much for me.
Thanks for asking!!

Thanks for the video, Charlotte. Earlier this fall I identified that I’m generally really slow at making decisions. Your suggestions really resonate with me: eliminating the need to make many decisions. I’ve already implemented the clothing thing. Areas that I will focus on next are streamlining eating and selecting in advance who gets my time.
@ cathy, I eat oatmeal for breakfast. with fruit and either flax or chia seeds.
Hi, Diane – so glad I could help!! This practice has helped me tremendously!!

Hi!!!
Quick questions. What verbage do you tend to use when you have stop by’s? We have a large garden out front and one of our families relaxing things to do is garden, have a glass of wine, swing the kids and maybe have a picnic snack there in the evenings to wind down when the hard farm work is done for the day. The problem is I repetitively have people “stop by” even though my voicemail and website say we are by appointment only to visit. We love having visitors we just want to plan to be free to give you our undevided attention. Many times they will say OH we called ( after 5:00 hours) and no answered so we decided to drive by. I on purpose only send out the directions to the farm to people who call…. so these people search for us uninvited. What do I say? They usually have zero clue how tired we are and need our family time! Or how them chatting unplanned for an hour can unhinge our evening with small children. Please ! Ideas!!! Thank you so much for pouring yourself into helping so much! I really enjoy all your materials!
Hi, Nicole – great question!!
Did you happen to see our recent course “Sales Made Simple?” We address that thoroughly in there and give you the plan to combat it but still build a profitable farm while guarding your private time. Grab it next time it’s available. It will really change your life.
What works best is to say something like, “thanks for your interest! Just call tomorrow and schedule an appointment. This is our family time now. I’d love to help you with purchases then.” Do it with a big smile and a gracious heart. Firm. They’ll respect you and come back. If they disrespect you they are not for you anyway.
Many more subtleties go into this, which is why I created a training for it – so many of us have to deal with these random drive-ins. When you deal with them the right way, they will be respectful and become a loyal customer.
Good luck!
